Reception

Kareen King - Receptionist (Kirkcaldy)

Kareen joined us in 1996 as a receptionist on a part-time basis. It didn't take her long to adapt her previous dental nursing skills to the meet needs of our clients and their pets.

Kareen enjoys meeting everyone who comes into the practice (four legged and two!) and will be a very familiar and friendly face to many of our clients.

Kareen has two cats named Daisy and Lola and an incredibly active Cocker Spaniel named Bella Her hobbies include pilates, reading, and enjoying long walks.




Shirley Newall - Reception Manager (Kirkcaldy)

Shirley joined our Kirkcaldy reception team in 2009 and is very much enjoying her time at the practice. Shirley has Molly the Westie, and Max and Arya the Labradors. She enjoys spending time walking the dogs and going out to concerts, visiting the cinema and dining out with her family.

Shirley is our reception manager and is responsible for organising and running this vital aspect of the practice.




Joyce Balfour - Receptionist (Kirkcaldy)

Joyce joined our Kirkcaldy practice in October 2013 as an afternoon receptionist after a career in banking and is very much enjoying her new role.

Her hobbies include caravanning, gardening, going to concerts and looking after her Cockerpoo Isla. Joyce is married with two grown up daughters that still keep her very busy!






Morag McRaith - Receptionist (Kirkcaldy)

Morag joined the Kirkcaldy practice in May 2014 after 23 years with Fife Council Planning Department and is really enjoying her new career. Her hobbies include walking, gardening and reading and she is a member of the RSPB and SSPCA. She has a grown up son and shares her home with Oscar the hamster!








Sharon Wilson - Receptionist (Kirkclady)

Sharon joined our Kirkcaldy reception team in the summer of 2016, she has an HNC in Animal Care and is a qualified nursing assistant.

Sharon enjoys spending time with husband Stevie and daughter Eilidh, the fourth member of the family is Luna the Jack Russell Terrier. Her hobbies include reading, going to the theatre and watching films.







Simon Smith - Receptionist (Kirkcaldy)

After spending 15 years in the hotel trade Simon decided to follow a new career path and came to work with us at St Clair Veterinary Clinics. He is loving his new role as receptionist and thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and their lovely pets.

In his free time Simon enjoys walking his two Border Collies Zoey & Ozzy, keeping his reef aquarium and holidaying in Florida!







Carmen Leslie - Receptionist (Kirkcaldy)

Having worked as a hairdresser for nine years, Carmen decided it was time for a change of career. She had always wanted to work with animals and so decided that a position at St Clair Veterinary Clinics would be perfect!

Carmen has two cats (Olly & Missy) and loves spending time and having days out with her fiance Josh.
