Day 2002
Once
again we had blue skies and warm weather for our open day - the third year
in a row! We just don't do open days when it's cloudy any more!
One
of our clients laid on a superb pony and carriage driving display with her
two ponies Chester and Riley. They demonstrated fine control in
small areas around a course marked out with cones. Later on they
took whoever wanted for a ride on the back of the carriage - this proved a
great success with everyone who had a go.
Home
A Dog Association (HADA) and the PDSA were present with stalls and
balloons. The pony rides, tombola, face painting for kiddies and
bouncy castle (for kiddies and vet nurses) all helped raise money. A
total of £629 was raised in 2 hours with all proceeds going to National
Pet Week, HADA and the PDSA charities. All of us at the practice
would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and helped
raise funds for these charities.
Staff
at the practice laid on displays covering ultrasound, acupuncture,
ophthalmological surgery and common pet poisonings. There were
several competitions with prizes to be won and a chance to see around the
practice, meet the menagerie of animals present and have a chat with all
the staff.
The
following pictures are quite large and may take a minute or two to display
fully.
