Open
Day 2003
This
year’s open day was once again a great success. Although not blessed with
the blue skies we usually enjoy there was still a great turnout on the day. Elite Falconry put on a display of birds of prey including Golden Eagles and Owl which the public seemed to enjoy at close quarters.
Fife
Constabulary helped us out once again with a demonstration from a sniffer
dog from the explosives section. There was the usual bouncy castle, face painting and competitions for the kids while the local charities were well represented by Canine Concern, Home A Dog Association, Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals.
Face painting was donated to us by Clowns R Us, with all proceeds being donated to charity.
The
day managed to raise £395 in total for which we would like to extend our
thanks to everyone who helped achieve this. Inside the practice were displays and demonstrations covering various topics including dental disease in pets, flea control, surgical practices and use of an endescope. There were a variety of pets on display and an information booth covering our new branch practice in Glenrothes.
We
hope you enjoyed your visit to the practice but if you missed out the next
open day will be in May next year.
