Jarlath Busby BVM&S, MRCVS

Jarlath BusbyJarlath qualified from Edinburgh in 1988 and joined the practice in 1990, becoming a partner a short time later. He enjoys the role of general practitioner, getting to know families and their pets over the years. Jarlath has a special interest in dermatology, internal medicine and rabbit medicine and surgery.

Having progressed from his rugby playing days, Jarlath now likes to spend his free time on the golf course, gardening and visiting the gym. He enjoys going back to his Irish roots to visit and re acquaint himself with a drop of the black stuff!

Neil Geddes BVM&S, Cert VOphthal. MRCVS

Neil GeddesNeil graduated from Edinburgh in 1987 and spent three years working in mixed practice in Cumbria. After a year spent working in Australia he returned to the UK and joined the practice in 1991, becoming a partner in 1993.

He gained his Royal College Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 1996 and has specialised in this field ever since.

Neil is married with two small boys, Joshua and Jack. When not tending to the sick and needy Neil can be found frightening a golf ball around various Fife courses.

Ian Paterson BVMS Cert SAS MRCVS

Ian PatersonIan qualified from Glasgow in 1989 and spent four years working in mixed practice in the north of England. He then spent two years working and travelling in New Zealand and Australia before returning to Scotland and joining the practice in 1996. He became a partner in the practice in 1999.

His special interest is surgery and Ian holds the Royal College Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.

Ian has travelled extensively throughout South America, North America, parts of Asia and the Antipodes although now lives a more stationary life with his wife and three small children. Hobbies include hillwalking, climbing and photography.

Angus Macpherson BVMS MRCVS

Angus qualified from Glasgow in 1996 and after spending seven years in practice in Scotland he joined St Clair Veterinary Group in May of 2003. Angus has a strong interest in diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasonography, and also in orthopaedic surgery. Angus has attended several ultrasound courses recently and his skills in this department have been to great gain for the practice.

Angus is married to Trish and they have three young children. When not changing nappies, Angus enjoys a game of golf and infrequent visits to the gym.

Fiona Burnet BVMS MRCVS

John BoydFiona joined the practice in October 2004 having worked for around thirteen years in the area in mixed, predominantly small animal practice. She graduated in 1987 and brings to the practice a wealth of experience and fresh ideas. Her professional interests are varied and include dentistry, dermatology, animal behaviour and sea mammal rescue & care.

Fiona puts the rest of us to shame with her high energy hobbies which are sea kayaking, hill walking and cycling.

Inga McDermott BVMS MRCVS

Inga qualified from Glasgow in 2000. After graduating she moved to Fife and spent seven years in small animal practice before joining the practice in September 2007. Inga enjoys all aspects of veterinary work and particularly likes surgical cases and meeting clients and their pets. Inga is married to Colin and lives with their two cats Mork and Mindy. In her free time she enjoys socialising and trying to keep fit.

Dr. Jane Hunter BVMS PhD MRCVS

Jane qualified from Glasgow University in 1983 and then completed a PhD on antibiotic resistance. Originally from Cowdenbeath, Jane's first experience of
St. Clair (then Smith and Boyd) was on school work experience when the practice was located on Commercial Street. After travelling and working in Australia, Jane was employed as a senior lecturer in New Zealand.

Having returned to Fife, Jane set up a clinic offering a service for people and animals which integrates acupuncture, massage and herbal treatment. Jane works part-time at the Glenrothes surgery and her expertise in alternative medicine increases the range of treatments we can offer your pets.

In her spare time, Jane teaches yoga and puts her flexibility to test on the golf course.
