Free veterinary treatment

Are you entitled to FREE Veterinary treatment for your pet?

PDSA logoThe Peoples Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) runs a service called Petaid whereby participating practices can offer free veterinary treatment to qualifying clients.

Our practice is part of the Petaid Scheme and to qualify you must receive either housing benefit or council tax rebate and live within the following postcode areas : KY1, KY2, KY6, KY7, KY8.

It is important that you register BEFORE treatment is needed so please pop in to the practice to collect an application form. Once registered the PDSA will send you a dated certificate, without this you will be charged veterinary fees at normal rates. The only cost involved is a postal order for £5 made payable to the PDSA to cover administration costs, and you will be asked if you would like to make a donation to the PDSA at the time of any treatment required.

Only one pet per household can be registered at any one time and you must attend the veterinary practice with which you are registered. The scheme does not cover routine preventative treatment such as vaccination, worming, neutering, flea prevention etc.

For more information please pop into the surgery or phone us on 01592-599500.
