Neil set up the ophthalmology referral service soon after gaining his post-graduate Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 1996.

Since then he has honed his expertise in both extra and intraocular procedures including eyelid surgery and reconstruction; luxated lens removal and cataract surgery using phacoemulsification.

Although he enjoys surgery a great deal he also finds the first and second opinion consultation work extremely rewarding.

At present the practice offers direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, ultrasound, tonometry (glaucoma), phacoemulsification, cataract removal, slit lamp examination and an operating microscope.
