Our in house laboratory enables us to perform the majority of necessary lab work on the day that your pet is seen, often within the hour. The lab is in constant use on a daily basis providing us with immediate results essential for the treatment of critically ill patients and performing routine screens on geriatric animals.

The lab is used to help us reach an accurate diagnosis when your pet is ill, but is also of vital importance in screening apparently healthy animals for illness prior to procedures including general anaesthetia such as bitch spays or teeth scaling and polishing.

Our equipment enables us to perform routine haematological and biochemical assays on blood samples with almost immediate results.

Microscopy plays an important role and is often essential for accurate diagnosis of many types of skin and urinary tract disease.

We have specific in house testing facilities for diseases such as feline leukemia virus (FeLV), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and ringworm as well as being able to give you an accurate idea from a blood sample on whether or not your bitch is ready to be mated.
