On the basis that prevention is better than cure, we’re inviting owners of cats aged 8 and above to book an appointment for a senior feline check. During the appointment one of our feline enthusiast RVNs would be looking for signs of:
- Dental disease
- Kidney disease
- Heart disease
- Hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Osteoarthritis
- Hyperthyroidism
If identified early, these ailments can be successfully managed.
Your cat’s appointment will include a nose to tail health check, blood pressure measurement, urine test, and senior cat blood tests. Appointments last 45 minutes.

Please note that a follow up consultation with a vet may be required if the tests reveal any abnormalities. This will be offered at a reduced rate.
Dedicated cat clinic times
At St Clair Vets, we've introduced dedicated cat clinic times at our Kirkcaldy practice to make your vet visit calmer for both you and your cat. There will be no other animals in the waiting room during these times.
Our cat only appointment times are:
Tuesdays: 10am to 11am and 2pm to 3pm.
Thursdays: 4pm to 5pm
