From Tuesday 24th March our Cadham practice will be closed until further notice

To book an appointment or to access one of our services, please contact us. To reduce the spread of COVID-19 and maintain social distancing, the practice team will take your pet inside and provide you with updates via phone. Please click here to find out more.

Rabbits can now also enjoy the benefits offered by pet insurance. We treat many rabbits in the practice for various conditions, the most common probably being related to inappetance and digestive problems.

We regularly hospitalise sick rabbits for intravenous fluid therapy, medication and assisted feeding programs. For many years’ rabbits have been classed as 'second class citizens' in the pet world.

We treat rabbits using the same approach to diagnostics and treatment as we would with dogs and cats. Insuring your pet rabbit will give you the peace of mind that if they do become ill then you will not be liable for the full costs of surgery, treatment, out of hours call out fees and hospitalisation if needed.

The x ray to the left shows the hind limb of a bunny which presented to the practice with a nasty fracture. This individual was insured, and the company paid out the £550 for the x-rays, surgery, hospitalisation and medication needed to get this little one hopping around again.
